Endicia Label Server Integration
New Built-in USPS Shipping Labels Printing with DYMO Endicia Integration
Our 5.1 Version release from January, brings to all 3dcart merchants a new integration DYMO Endicia®, the leading provider of postage technology solutions. The integration with Endicia Label Server (ELS) simplifies printing of U.S. Postal Service® (USPS®) labels, eliminating the need for a third-party software. The new feature is now available to all 3dcart’s online merchants.
Even when the capability of printing USPS Shipping labels has been available to merchants for a long time, it was simply for delivery confirmation purposes and it wasn’t possible to include Pre-paid Postage on these. Now 3dcart users can print Pre-paid USPS labels directly from the 3dcart admin interface, in the same manner that it’s currently available for UPS and FEDEX.
Customers view Endicia as vital to their business because we help them save time, money, and resources and increase efficiency. Whether you’re a high-volume warehouse shipper, operating an e-commerce site from a garage, or simply trying to get invoices out before the day is over, Endicia can help.
As a special promotion to 3dcart merchants, Endicia is offering a 60 Day Free-Trial of the Endicia Label Server solution ($15.95/mo) and 15% OFF the DYMO 4XL Label Printer.

How to secure your share of the European e-commerce boom

Though e-commerce has been around for over a decade in Europe, growth is hitting double digits every year and doesn’t seem to be anywhere near leveling off. Learn the key to secure your share of the boom with the payment solution provider whose growth has exceeded the European market 8 years in a row.
If you were to ask European online shoppers what their preferred payment method is, they would, to the largest extent, say that invoice after delivery is how they would like to pay for ordered goods. In Germany, Europe’s largest e- commerce market, which generated 27 billion Euros in 2012 (+28%!), as many as six out of ten shoppers would choose this payment method above all others.
Why? No matter how accustomed consumers are to the Internet, paying for something, before actually touching and feeling it, remains a major hurdle. With invoice after delivery however, consumers get the goods first, check them and pay only after. As you can imagine, this possibility becomes of particular importance for consumers new to an e-store – even more so when shopping from a foreign one.
Until recently, merchants hesitated to offer invoice because of the potential credit and fraud losses it entails – especially when selling to foreign customers. Now companies like Klarna, Europe’s leading provider of invoice based payment solutions (and pre-installed in 3dcart!) handle this for you, making it completely risk free. This means your overseas expansion becomes safer and simpler than ever. You can take a larger chunk of the booming European market (20% growth from 2011 to 2012) at no risk, simply by offering the preferred payment method.
Klarna was founded in 2005 and is backed by investment firms DST Global (Groupon, Facebook, Zynga) and General Atlantic (Facebook), as well as venture capital firms Sequoia Capital (Apple, Yahoo! and Google) and Atomico (lead by Skype founder Niklas Zennström). After outperforming the European e- commerce market seven years in a row, Klarna grew by another 38% in 2012 while passing its 50 million-transaction mark during Christmas sales (transactions that you could be claiming a share of).
Introducing “Share Your Purchase” from 3dcart
Facebook now has a billion active monthly users, creating a giant opportunity for online merchants. Now online stores using 3dcart can use this opportunity to their advantage with “Share Your Purchase,” a new feature available to all 16,000 3dcart merchants with the software’s Facebook Connect add-on.
According to Nielsen, 60 percent of consumers researching products online learn about a specific product or brand through social media, mainly Facebook. Share Your Purchase works to capitalize on this by presenting a call to action for shoppers immediately after buying, encouraging them to share their purchase with their networks over Facebook and Twitter.
The 3dcart Facebook Connect add-on was introduced in early 2012, and revolutionized the way online business leverages the power of the popular social networking service. With the Facebook Connect add-on, online stores on the 3dcart platform allow first-time and returning shoppers to automatically sign-in using their Facebook account.
The “Share Your Purchase” makes a great addition to the existing SocialCommerce tools already available to all 3dcart stores, which include built-in Blog, Facebook Store, Mobile Store, Social Bookmarking and more.
In the future we’ll be including additional functionality to Facebook Connect & Share Your Purchase, so these can integrate with the built-in loyalty program, newsletter and promotions manager.
Share Your Purchase is part of 3dcart’s Facebook Connect add-on, a tool that lets shoppers automatically sign in with their Facebook accounts. The app helps increase conversions, empower social marketing and personalize interaction between customers and the online stores they frequent.
3dcart’s Facebook Connect feature is available through the app store at http://www.3dcart.com/ecommerce-apps/facebook-connect.html
