On March 1st, 3dcart will be fully transitioning its email services to use only secure port configurations.  Connections to the non-secure mail servers will cease to work after this date.  As explained in a global email sent to all 3dcart users several months ago, this is being done to enhance security and ensure a more protected email service for our clients.

If you have not done so already, please be sure to update your email client software so that it uses secure connections.

The basic setup will involve setting your incoming and outgoing mail servers to use an encrypted SSL connection, and the ports used for the those servers will be as follows:

  • Incoming POP3 Port: 995 (If using IMAP; Port 993)
  • Outgoing SMTP Port: 465
